In 1985 SAPESCO started its operation in Egypt under the Free Zone authority license as an Egyptian limited liability company. The offline of the company business was by providing mine clearance services to support exploration and drilling companies in Western Desert. In 1986 Sapesco steered a major expansion by introducing the activity of Well Service for the provision of Coiled tubing, Nitrogen and Stimulation Services. In addition, the company has added several other divisions to cover most of the services required by oil & gas companies. The first international operations started in 1994 when Sapesco won its first contract in Syria with Al Furat Petroleum Company AFPC (Shell/ SPC Join Venture). Today, we have continued our progress and we are classified as the lead contractor in Syria as we are holding 5 main contracts with AFPC. In 1998 the company was transformed to joint stock company (S.A.E.). This move empowered the company position in the market that encouraged considerable partners like CIB bank and CIIC to acquire shares in the company.
The company continued its progress in a steadily manner by adding new business lines and opening new geographical locations. Our effort generated new services like, workover, well testing, perforations, pipeline services and the latest technologies in deep water operations. Geographically, Sapesco carried out successfully its operations (Well testing, Wire Line & Coiled Tubing) in Libya via a registered branch. In Jordan, Completed the main Peace Gas line. Registered Sapesco Arabia Lt’d in Saudi Arabia. Participating with NDC Abu Dahbi for well testing contract for ADCO.
